Google My Business...

Since Google abandoned the tumbleweed central that was Google+ the have moved their focus for content to Google My Business.

For some years it has been handy to use your Google account and Google My Business to put your business location on Google Maps.

You can take ownership of your business, add contact details, logo and photos and nicely for us ownership can now be managed by someone else if you don't have the time or inclination to do that yourself.

Now you can also Post and add Products so they appear in your listing and some of our clients have found this is really working for them. They show up here...

If you want to add these posts or products to your Google My Business account, it is quite simple.

  • If you are n your computer, sign in to Google My Business. If your not sure if you have a Google My Business account, Google yourself and see what comes up!
  • If you have multiple locations, open the location that you'd like to manage.
  • Click Post from the menu.
  • At the top of the page, choose the type of post that you'd like to create from the options given.Options appear to add photos, videos, text, events, offers and a button to your post. Click each field and enter relevant information.
  • To see a preview of your post, click Preview.
  • If you're happy with your preview, in the top right, click Publish. If you'd like to change your post, in the top left, click Back . Edit your draft until it's ready to publish!

  • On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google My Business app.
  • Tap Home.
  • Tap Post.
  • Tap on the type of post that you'd like to create (update, event, offer, product).
  • Create your post. Options appear to add photos, videos, text, events, offers and a button to your post. Tap each field and enter any relevant information.
  • To see a preview of your post, tap Preview.
  • To publish your post, tap Publish. To change your post, in the top left tap Back . Edit your draft until it's ready to publish.
